Pool, Outdoor

The infinity pool at Ka'ana is nestled in lush foliage indicative of being on the outskirts of the Belizean rainforest. The pool avoids the harsh chemicals generally used in resort pools by utilizing a salt based filtration system and the serenity of the 'waterfall' infinity edge adds the soothing sound of cascading water. The constant 4 ft ( 1.2 m) depth makes for comfortable swimming as well as just relaxing on a warm day. Guests at Ka'ana have also discovered that poolside can double as a romantic dinner location as well as the best place on property to star gaze on a typically cloudless night.

Biking, Mountain

Your own ability and agility will decide the level of the ride, your guides will ask you a few simple questions at the start and assess your ability to handle the hills and trails ahead. This thrilling and often challenging bike ride traverses the a neighboring nature reserve. This is guaranteed to get your heart pumping and your adrenaline racing.

Ecological Tourism

Multiple ecological tours available and can be arranged through resort including tours to rivers, waterfalls, caves, rainforest excursions, canoeing, kayaking, tubing, horseback riding or mountain biking on nature trails, nature reserves, and national parks.

Fishing - Ocean

A day trip to go fishing out near the cayes (pronounced 'keys') can be arranged in advance.

Hiking

We are centrally located in a region that has many options for hiking in nature reserves and national parks. We can assist you in personalizing your tour which will highlight this region at it's best.

Horseback Riding

We offer horseback riding tour that features Green Acres Belize where you will ride among the lanes of Green Acres' orange groves to the beautiful banks of the Sibun River. Here we'll cross the river by horseback and turn into the cocoa fields. The cocoa bean was, and still is, used as the main ingredient for the production of chocolate. The cocoa fruit was highly revered by the Maya who also traded the seeds as currency. Your guide explains how this coveted fruit, dubbed as the "Food of the Gods", as it was known among the Maya, is cultivated and used today. After lunch, splash into the cool waters of the Inland Blue Hole, a natural limestone spring, on the way back. The spring flows from an underground cave into another cave.

Winery Tours

Ka'ana boasts the largest wine cellar in Western Belize. We have carefully assembled a selection of wines from around the world in an effort to appease all tastes. In a show of homage to a select few growers we also offer our premium cellar select collection, mostly Napa valleys finest. We would be remiss if we did not feature other great vintners from other countries in this listing as well.
